Wendi Ni

Co-President

Wendi currently works as a Senior Scientist I in Oncology at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research. Her work focuses on cancer drug discovery engaging the immune system through bispecific antibody modality. Wendi obtained her MS in Pharmacology and Drug Development from Tufts School of Medicine and holds a BS in Cellular and Molecular Biology from University of Michigan. In her spare time, Wendi enjoys reading, meeting new people, and sharing ideas.

Ji Zhao

Co-President

Ji Zhao is a postdoctoral associate in Department of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT. He got his bacholar degree of engineering in Tsinghua University and PhD in Chemistry in Chinese Academy of Sciences. He also has two years postdoctoral research exprience with Prof Allen Bard in UT Austin. His research is about electrochemical energy material and devices, particularly non-lithium batteries and ultra thin silicon solar cells. He is also a mature soccer player and salsa dancer.

Xiyao Tang

Clare (Xiyao) currently studies at Northeastern University focuses on digital communication and media. With a few years of working experience in social media operation, she gains experience in knowledge of the social media landscape and understands the latest social media trends. In her spare time, Clare(Xiyao) enjoys cooking, reading, illustrating, photographing, and video editing.

Taoyuan(Kavin) Wang

Kavin is currently a Master of Finance student at MIT Sloan School of Management. Prior to that, he studied Finance at Central University of Finance and Economics. Past internships at various private equity firms advanced his interest in growth equity investing in the technology space. He will be joining Morgan Stanley as a summer analyst in the investment banking division. He has a one-year old cat and enjoys playing poker.

Zhuo Li

Zhuo graduated from Northeastern University majoring in Digital Media. She has shifted her career from sport business to marketing field. Zhuo has been exploring and developing experience in multiple marketing fields, such as growth hacking, events, digital marketing, multimedia design, and UX design.

Kecheng Huang

Kecheng Huang is a graduate student pursuing the master of science in architecture and urban studies at MIT. Prior to MIT, he completed a five-year professional training in architecture and received his bachelor’s degree of architecture at Wuhan University. At MIT, he has been attempting to expand his knowledge scale into technology filed, such as autonomous mobility urbanism, multimodal user interfaces and interactive data visualization.

Executive Team

Xuan Han

Xuan is currently a full-time data scientist at PTC. He finished his Bachelor's degree in Beijing Univ. of Posts and Telecom. And then joined a data mining startup working on social networks which was acquired by a top 3 marketing company in China. He got his Master’s degree at Northeastern Univ. in Computer Science. His has great interest in AI. And he is also a big fan of Physics, Chinese traditional culture, art.

Haoming Fu

Haoming Fu is pursuing a master in Design Studies degree at Harvard. His academic interest now is to explore the changing meanings of public architecture in certain region over time. He is now working as a strategy investment intern in a China unicorn company. His previous experience focuses on strategy consulting and securities industry.

Hunter Zhao

Hunter is co-founder and CEO at KaleidoGlobe, creator of a cloud-based knowledge management platform that uses NLP and AI to facilitate analysis of large volumes of text-based information. In the past, Hunter has worked as business strategy consultant, engineering design course instructor, and aerospace systems engineer. Hunter holds a MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT and BS in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering from Caltech. In his spare time, Hunter enjoys writing fiction, reading non-fiction, playing video games, and discussing big ideas.

Shuqian Huang

Shuqian Huang obtained her master degree in Technopreneurship & Innovation at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and Co-curricular at Stanford University. She is passionate about Technopreneurship & Innovation, such as business plan, Entrepreneurial Marketing and Venture Capital. After graduating from NTU, she operated a social media startup in Singapore.

Zhen Guo

Zhen is currently a Ph.D. student at MIT EECS. He received his B.A with highest honor in physics and minors in English from UC Berkeley in 2018, where he also spent a year as Tier 1 R&D engineer after graduation. During college, he worked with Alex Zettl at Berkeley Nanosciences and Nanoengineering Institute, Xiang Zhang at NSF Nano-scale Science and Engineering Center, and also Yuri Suzuki at Stanford Applied Physics. He was the co-founder and electrical engineer of Sensible Recording and Rendering in Shenzhen, China.

Yawen Tao

Yawen is a current MBA student at Harvard Business School. She has interned with top Chinese investment firms such as FOSUN Investment Group and Capital Today Group as MBA associate. Prior to HBS, Yawen worked in the global trading business at British Petroleum. She has plenty of experience across commodity investment, business development and corporate strategic management. Originally from Wuhan, China, Yawen attended Nanjing University, majoring in International Economics and Trade. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling and learning different culture and business models.

Zhuoran Han

Zhuoran Han is a Ph.D. Candidate in Nuclear Engineering in the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering focusing on computational reactor physics and High Performance Computing. He received his dual Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Michigan. Zhuoran is a huge fan of rock climbing and bouldering.

Ann Yin

Ann is a musician, an experienced entrepreneur, and an artist. Before being a student of Berklee, she built a music education school and recently co-founded a technology startup in China.

Zijing Wang

Zijing Wang is a master candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He got his bachelor degree of architecture in Beijing University of Technology with distinction. He has diverse working experience in different fields, such as the movie industry, historic preservation, and architectural design. His research focuses on media impact on conservation. Zijing is also a partner of PanSidong salon and a senior member of Slomo subtitle group.

Qianhui Liang

Qianhui Liang is currently a Master candidate in School of Architecture and Planning at MIT. She got her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture at Tongji University. She is interested in big data analysis and visualization, urban computation, and how big data analytics and digital interactive design can inform and transform physical and spatial urban system, and human behavior.

Ming Pan

Ming is a member of 2019-2020 MIT CEO executive committee, enthusiastic about technology commercialization and entrepreneurship in biomedical and healthcare industry. He is also a member of mentorship program organizing committee for 2019-2020. He is currently a postdoctoral research associate at the MIT-Broad Foundry of Broad Institute, working on developing unprecedented high throughput screening platform for synthetic biology, drug discovery and precision medicine. He received his BS in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University.

Helen Qu

Helen is currently a master student at Harvard University, previously studied humanities at Tsinghua (Beijing) and Sciences Po (Paris). She also interned as a tech journalist and a strategy consultant and thus developed interests of TMT and education industry. Helen enjoys writing, travelling and listening to podcasts in her spare time. She is passionate about making impact through content creating and mind connecting.

Zizheng Liu

Zizheng(Derek) Liu is a first-year Master of Finance student at MIT Sloan School of Management. Derek graduated from Emory University with double degrees in Applied Maths and Computer Science. He is joining Goldman Sachs Asset Management as an intern in the upcoming summer.

Audrey Li

Audrey is an undergraduate at MIT double majoring in Computer Science and Economics. She currently leads the MIT sourcing team for Harvard Undergraduate Capital Partners, where she connects startups with top VCs and angel investors, including Sequoia and Lux Capital. She is also a former intern at Y Combinator China (now renamed as MiraclePlus). In her spare time, she enjoys reading, meeting new people, and playing golf.

Harry Qiaohao Liang

Harry is currently a PhD student in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT. At MIT Photovoltaics Lab (ME) and SLI Group (CSAIL), he develops tools to accelerate energy materials R&D processes; more specifically, building suitable robotic, machine learning, and data management tools for labs to speed up their experiments and become ‘smarter’ with analysis. Having grown up in both Finland and China, he obtained his undergraduate degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley. At MIT CEO, Harry is excited to learn about your amazing ideas and here to help you deliver them effectively to your selected audience with a twist. Outside of work, Harry is a bold stand-up comedian, traveler, and part-time basketball referee.

Qianran He

Qianran is working as the senior engineer in Nanoramic Laboratories for energy storage R&D. Her expertise is on high energy density electrode material for lithium-ion batteries. Qianran got her PhD degree from Illinois Institute of Technology, where she is also the awardee of Tang Fellowship. Qianran also served as the board director of American PhD Alliance, and actively organizing events in EV/LIB academic and industrial communities.

Siyuan Xu

Siyuan currently works as a BD professional to build and manage portforlio for PE/VC backed biotechs. She also has working experience in healthcare venture capital fund and had co-founded a startup biotech. She received her BS and PhD in biology from Fudan University. She is passionate about life science innovations and is well connected to biotech venture capitalists and entreprenuers cross border.

Wendi Kan

Wendi studies Business Administration at Babson College, concentrating in Business Analytics and Entrepreneurship. She is a member of AKPsi Gamma Nu and is currently working on her venture that went through the Summer Venture Program, a renowned seed stage accelerator in Boston. Wendi is passionate about user experience, scaling lean ventures, and theatre performances. In her free time, she likes to watch movies and learn photography.

Gao Tao

Tao is currently a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at MIT. His research focuses on electrochemical systems for energy and environmental applications. One major part of his research is examining energy storage devices(batteries, supercapacitors) at micro(materials), meso(transport) and macro(system) levels. Currently, he is studying the kinetics of graphite anode to make 10 mins battery charging possible. In his spare time, he enjoys movies, hiking, cooking and skiing.

Wenjun Zhang

Wenjun Zhang obtained her master degree in architecture and urban design at Columbia University in the city of New York. She got her bachelor degree of landscape architecture in Tongji University. She is passionate about design related field and social activity, such as real estate, art, urban studies, UI&UX, NPO and social capital.

Xin Yang

Xin Yang obtained PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland. She moved to Boston in 2015, and worked as Sr. product managers in several companies including Olympus Corporation, Thermo Fisher Scientific and eClinicalWorks. She also obtained MBA degree from Boston University, with concentration on health sector management. Xin is passionate about innovation in healthcare, aims to make the world a better place via advancing healthcare technologies. She also works as business consultants for several healthcare start ups. In her spare time, she loves skiing, traveling and meeting like-minded people. She has been to 38 countries in the world.
